I keep seeing bizarre, Double Chocolate latte induced delusions in print about Anonymous planning to “take down the internet”. To make such a foolish, and on its face crazy assertion is to reveal the profoundly mentally unbalanced and out of touch nature of those making such assertions.

Those who make such wild speculations, obviously don’t understand the fundamental workings of Anonymous.
For Anonymous to “take down the internet” would be like :
“Pirates set to vaporize the Ocean”
“Cowboys setting off a bomb that would vitrify the dirt”
“Artists set to destroy all media used to make graphic depictions”
“Ham Operators set to destroy all Ham Radio Sets”
“Speech Writers Set to destroy all fonts and typefaces everywhere”
“Truck drivers set to destroy the interstate system”
The internet is the Ocean of Anonymous, it is their medium of expression,
their highway, their method of communication and expression.
On the Contrary, the powers that be who oppose Anonymous, would have a
vested interest in “taking down the internet” to neutralize the effectiveness
of Anonymous.
So, when you hear someone spread that rumor, or read an article doing so,
shake your head and say “What a Fucking Moron”
